1. In-Network Insurance 

 

We are proud to partner with Headway to manage our insurance billing and provide you with in-network benefits for a growing number of carriers. This partnership is designed to make accessing affordable care simple, transparent, and hassle-free.

Headway Benefits for Our Clients:

• Instant Cost Clarity: Headway instantly verifies your benefits and provides a clear, upfront estimate of your cost per session (copay, deductible contribution, etc.) before you even book, eliminating financial surprises.

• Hassle-Free Billing: Headway manages all the complexities of insurance claims, benefits verification, billing, and payment processing automatically. You pay your estimated cost, and Headway handles the rest, ensuring you never have to deal with insurance paperwork.

• Easy Access: You can check our real-time availability and book appointments directly through your Headway profile.

To Confirm Coverage: Since our list of accepted insurance providers is actively expanding, we ask that you verify our current in-network status directly through our dedicated Headway profile.

Important Note on Client Paperwork: Headway and SimplePractice

 

For your safety and to maintain the highest standards of care, we utilize two secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms to manage our practice:

1. Headway: Used exclusively for insurance verification and billing.

2. SimplePractice: Used for our Electronic Health Record (EHR), including clinical documentation, secure messaging, and all necessary treatment forms.

As a client, you will be asked to complete initial registration documents in both systems. We understand this may feel like duplicate effort; however, this two-step process is necessary to ensure the accuracy of your insurance benefits (Headway) while securely protecting and documenting all of your clinical information (SimplePractice). After this one-time initial setup, all ongoing communication and clinical forms will be handled through your SimplePractice Client Portal.

2. Out-of-Network (OON) Benefits 

 

If we are not yet in-network with your plan, or if you prefer to use your OON benefits, we continue to work with clients on an out-of-network basis.

We are pleased to partner with Thrizer to simplify the reimbursement process when using your out-of-network benefits.

Working with Thrizer offers additional benefits:

• Potential for Lower Upfront Costs: Thrizer may allow you to potentially pay only your copay/coinsurance at the time of service (after meeting your out-of-network deductible).

• Simplified Reimbursement: Thrizer manages the complexities of billing your insurance company for the remaining balance, handling the entire out-of-network claim submission on your behalf.

• Transparency and Predictability: Thrizer can help you understand your estimated out-of-pocket expenses based on your insurance plan's OON benefits.

For all Out-of-Network Clients: We will provide you with Detailed Superbills (comprehensive invoices containing all necessary information for out-of-network claims, such as diagnostic codes, service codes, dates of service, and our practice information) after each session for easy submission.

For clients who choose to pay out-of-pocket without using insurance or OON benefits, our session fees are as follows:

• Individual Therapy: $100 per session

• Group Therapy (Veterans & First Responders Only): $30 per session

3. Self-Pay Fees

 

For clients who choose to pay out-of-pocket without using insurance or OON benefits, our session fees are as follows:

• Individual Therapy: $100 per session

• Group Therapy (Veterans & First Responders Only): $30 per session

• Educational Presentations (Veterans & First Responders): $300 per one-hour presentation

We encourage all prospective clients to contact their insurance provider directly to understand their benefits and discuss how Headway or Thrizer can help simplify your access to care. All self-pay fees will be handled through Thrizer.
